Biography

Harry Brock is a native Roman, attending schools in both Floyd County (Garden Lakes Elementary) and Rome City (West Rome High School). After graduating from the University of Alabama, Harry spent several years working in the bicycle industry before entering the real estate business. He is currently a certified general real estate appraiser and owner of Appraisal Associates of Rome, as well as a licensed real estate broker.

For most of his adult life, Harry has volunteered his time for numerous community efforts. He has served as chairman of the Rome Floyd Chamber of Commerce, Rome Floyd Develpment Authority, the Downtown Development Authority, the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Heart of the Community. His past leadership involvement also includes being a graduate of Leadership Rome and Leadership Northwest Georgia. He also previously served as the co-chair of Leadership Rome and High School Leadership Rome.

Harry currently serves on the Open-Door Home Board, Rome Floyd Land Bank Authority and is acting president of Trails for Recreation and Economic Development (T.R.E.D.). He is a recipient of the Heart of the Community Award, the Wesley Johnson Leadership Award and the William Fricks Award for service to downtown Rome.

He and his wife, Dawn, are the proud parents of two adult children, Bailey Brock Schmitt and Cooper Brock.
